Early Impressions Preschool & Childcare Centers purpose is to provide all children with a safe, fun and quality learning environment where their development is encouraged and supported by a partnership between educated and compassionate caregivers and the child's family.

Our Preschool & Childcare Programs

Infant & Toddler Care

Infant & Toddler Care

Our infant and toddler program cares for children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 2 years & 6 months. The classroom environments are arranged in several activity centers, designed to offer children meaningful learning and developmental experiences. There is open space for large group activities and smaller areas for individual and small group play. One teacher for every 4 children is required for the program. Children will be assigned a primary caregiver in the classroom who will create learning and development goals each child. Children in the infant and toddler classrooms will begin preparing for potty training, using eating utensils, practicing large motor skills like walking and throwing a ball, and having opportunities to learn social skills when socializing with other children.

Preschool Program

Infant & Toddler Care

Our preschool program cares for children ranging in age from 2 years & 6 months to 5 years of age. Our preschool classrooms are arranged with several activity centers, allowing children to choose freely between a variety of interesting, age-appropriate activities. There is open space for large group play and activities and smaller areas for individual and small group play. The daily schedule is structured to provide opportunities for a balance of child-lead and adult-initiated activities, providing the optimal environment for meaningful curiosity and learning. One caregiver for every 8 children is required for this program. Children in our preschool program will gain experience with life skills, social skills and academic skills to prepare them for kindergarten and life in general.

Strong Beginnings

Michigan's Strong Beginnings pilot preschool program supports three-year-old children from low-income families and children with other risk factors. The program aims to provide high-quality early childhood education to help address gaps in school readiness and promote healthy development. Strong Beginnings works closely with Michigan’s existing Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) and is integral to the PreK for All pipeline. This allows families to start their school experience with positive engagement and support from the educational community. It creates a nurturing environment that fosters social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. The program follows a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum and emphasizes family engagement, providing families with resources and opportunities to partner with their child's school.

Pre-K for All & GSRP

Pre-K for All / Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a state-funded free preschool program for qualifying four-year-old children. Our teachers utilize a research-based curriculum that aligns with Michigan's Early Childhood Standards for Quality for Prekindergarten (ECSQ-PK). Our classrooms have consistent daily routines that include group activities as well as daily free choice time and outdoor play. There are two teachers per classroom, keeping a 1:8 ratio of adults to children. GSRP Teachers are highly-qualified and have degrees within the field of early childhood education.  Children's progress is measured and reported in the areas of social-emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development.  Progress in content learning areas of literacy, math, science, social studies, art, and English speaking skills are also measured and reported. We partner with families to create the best preschool experience possible for children. GSRP students attend school Monday through Thursday. Free meals are provided daily for students. Some of our sites provide transportation and/or before and after school care. To apply for the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), click the 'Apply Now' button below!
